S&A Vondel Park Hotel

We have a lovely stay. The location was excellent and nearby was an extremely delicious spot to eat breakfast.

We had a lovely stay at the S&A Vondel Park Hotel, Staff were so thoughtful, on my birthday there was balloons and a bottle of Prosecco left in the room with a hand written note, it was such a sweet touch. The location was so ideal and out of all the hustle and bustle of the city, right next to the park so a nice spot to relax and great area for catching trams and walking around.

My Honest Review of This Hotel As a customer service professional, I have always emphasized that a business’s ability to handle situations effectively is paramount. Upon my arrival, I encountered an issue with the air conditioning in my first room. Despite the hotel’s diligent efforts to rectify the situation, including dispatching an engineer to my room, the problem persisted. However, the next morning, I was fortunate to encounter a young lady at the front desk who not only changed my room but also relocated all my belongings to the next room. The newly assigned room featured an upgraded air conditioning unit. While occasional system resets were necessary, the front desk consistently displayed a genuine apology and a willingness to assist. The staff’s exceptional service exceeded my expectations. Each time I returned from my day trip, the bed was made, and fresh towels were provided. The room itself is quite basic, fulfilling its primary function. While it may not be a five-star hotel, I was aware of this when making my booking. I have no complaints regarding the room’s amenities. Although I wish I had a phone to contact the front desk directly, I am now focusing on the positive aspects. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. Its strategic location offers convenient access to the attractions of Amsterdam. Furthermore, the staff’s exceptional service is truly commendable.

Tram stop not far away, we were in Amsterdam for the weekend so out for most of the day we didn’t have breakfast as we ate whilst out. Bedroom facilities were good, fridge, tea and coffee. There was also a hair dryer and ironing board with iron. I would definitely stay here again.
