This is a budget-friendly place to stay, as reflected in some of the negative reviews. Here is a different perspective, though:
I paid around £100 for two nights for a small two-bedroom suite for two people—that’s not a lot of money. There are a few other rental rooms on the same floor.
The accommodation is on the third floor, and you have to enter through the back door. The view from up there is really lovely. Yes, and as other reviews mention, kids do gather in a small square visible from the window. In our case, they were completely peaceful and quiet; we didn't hear them at all, even with the window open.
I wouldn't recommend this place to a family with children or an early bird; it’s better suited for young people who like to stay up late. Since you’re sleeping above a pub, of course there’s plenty of nightlife there.
But if you’re out and about at night yourself, like we were, it doesn't really bother you. The main Street is not far away, and there are numerous takeaways run by immigrants, not just the obligatory Indian and Chinese spots, but also unique street food from a wide variety of nations. An Art Centre is around the corner too.
The place is in an immigrant neighborhood. So, if you hate foreigners, this isn't the place for you. We spent the evening in the pub and got to know everyone there like one big family. We were invited to join in and played pool tournaments with local characters. The pub owner was great too. All in all, we had a great evening there.
The toilet seat was loose and the chairs were a bit hard, but overall it was fine. The beds had fresh linens, and everything was very clean. Tea, coffee, and a kettle are provided.

Very clean and tidy,great location for what I needed only 10mins from city centre and 40mins walk to Wollaston park where I raced,handy to have a public house as part of accommodation to chill and very secure to get in and out of accommodation,in terms of keeping in touch with the owner,very good gave myself details of what to do when I got to accommodation code for door and keys, free parking on the local street,a stress free weekend
I have nothing to comment on as I thought everything was perfect and I had my monies worth for the weekend

Bright and clean and perfect for what we needed
Not really a dislike just a bit awkward was the toilet was very close to the shower cubicle for sitting down reasons.
