Misleading listing – not worth the price

Very disappointing stay. The property is heavily misrepresented in the listing. One of the bedrooms shown on the layout is locked and not accessible, which was not disclosed. Don’t be fooled by the floor plan — you are not getting the full property as advertised. The “bush retreat” description is misleading — there is no real bushland or proper backyard. The “garden” is essentially just overgrown weeds, and our kids even ended up with leeches, which was quite unpleasant. The “beachfront” claim is also inaccurate — you need to drive to reach the beach. It is advertised as “pet friendly,” but there are zero provisions for pets — no dog bed, no bowls, nothing at all. Several listed amenities were not provided: Outdoor BBQ Children’s high chair Hair dryer Streaming services (only live TV unless you use your own login) The TV itself is very small and outdated. The toaster was rusted and dirty, which raises concerns about overall cleanliness and maintenance. The outdoor dining setting is an extremely old, wobbly table — not only uncomfortable to use, but also unsafe, with a real risk of splinters. The property is also extremely noisy as it sits right next to a train line. The kitchen is very poorly equipped — even basic items like sugar, a colander, or a grater were missing. For the price charged, locking off a bedroom and relying on misleading descriptions like “pet friendly bush retreat” and “beachfront” feels deceptive. Overall, very poor value for money and we would not stay here again.

First time in the area and it was beautiful. The house was wonderful and easy access to local ammenities. Loved it!
