Do not recommend. Due to lack of clealiness, maintenance and safety issues.
The location, the jetty and the balcony.
The house was big and updated.
The house was in a great location for fishing as it backed onto a canal with a private jetty.
We had an early check-in, but arrived at the standard 2pm time. On arrival, cleaners were still present and advised us not to walk on the excessively wet floors, delaying access and creating a safety risk. Outdoor areas were extremely unhygienic. The barbecue was heavily soiled, seating surfaces had faeces present, and outdoor floors were sticky with leaves and dirt. Cleaners later returned, causing further disruption. The pool was unsanitary and hazardous, with visible algae, debris, what appeared to be glass fragments, a Chux cleaning wipe, and mould on the pool cleaner hose. The pool, jetty, and living areas were key factors in choosing this property. Multiple lights were not working, including the pantry (previously reported three times by cleaners), foyer, upstairs bathroom, and three of six kitchen lights. Additional issues included a torn main bedroom bedsheet, extremely slow-draining bathroom sinks, a non-operational vacuum cleaner, and an upstairs television marked “OUT OF ORDER,” which management confirmed they were aware of. This space was booked specifically for younger adults, and alternative televisions were not an acceptable substitute.The oven was unsafe, sliding out when opened, and the ensuite toilet door was unsecured and fell off, narrowly missing my head. We avoided using that ensuite due to safety concerns.The external bin was already overflowing on arrival, and despite following instructions for collection, there was insufficient capacity, requiring us to remove rubbish ourselves. None of the windows had flyscreens, only six dining chairs were provided for a property advertised for eight guests, and numerous maintenance issues remained unresolved. Communication from property management was dismissive. We were offered a $300 refund, no alternative accommodation, and a late checkout, which was inappropriate given the circumstances. Significant holiday time was lost raising these issues, and we felt obligated to remain.
