The property was clean and tidy. It’s in a really good location if you want the city centre and stadiums… I just don’t recommend visiting during a heatwave.A head’s up to anyone reading this: check in instructions are given 1 hour before your booking starts. I was not told this beforehand and I could have been saved a very stressful morning of having to contact Vrbo directly as I could not get hold of the host if I had known about this. When I experienced an issue with the front door, the host copied and pasted information they had given me before, making me feel like they assumed I just hadn’t read it rather than the information they gave being inaccurate. This made me feel as though I couldn’t contact them with further issues (wrong wifi codes, more issues with the door, requesting fans because of very little ventilation). In my opinion, the host needs to be more proactive in the future to ensure duty of care to their guests… especially when there is a red weather warning is in place. I’m not saying you should get A/C installed, but just a little bit of thought and care into our wellbeing would have been nice. When I gave some feedback to the host directly detailing a couple of serious concerns, I never received a response from them. Travelnest (the booking management), on the other hand, have been very responsive. This was my first experience using Vrbo altogether, and unfortunately I think it will be my last as the back and forth has been really frustrating!
