You couldn't get more central to the town being the Old Rectory adjacent to the church. There are local restaurants, pubs and a Saturday market, including many independent shops. And the castle, of course. Lovely timber framed interior that creates a charming atmosphere. The interior decor was in keeping and very comfortable. The views from the first floor windows overlook a pleasant garden. We where able to bring our two well behaved hounds that was appreciated.

The weather ;-) a bit wet and windy, but didn't overly affect our stay.

We were attending a wedding in a neighbouring village so the property location was really central and made it easy to access. Having parking on site was really handy. We were originally a party of 6 and so the apartment size was our main requirement and having 3 double rooms was just perfect. The host was excellent at communicating and very quick to respond to messages. We received everything we needed to know in advance, which made the long journey less stressful. If we had known the village was the childhood home of Ed Sheeran, we would have stayed longer!

It was a very old property and so configuring for modern day use is obviously not always feasible. Hence why I would say if there had been an extra toilet, it would have been a bonus.
