Welcome to the cozy “Alte Kate – Anno 1830” on the outskirts of the tiny village of Hobstin, home to just 70 residents. Centrally located between the famous Baltic Sea beaches of Lübeck Bay and the Hosteinische Schweiz region, you can enjoy pure romance and relaxation year-round in this superbly equipped thatched-roof vacation home.
Hobstin lies a short distance from the bustling beaches and vacation resorts along Lübeck Bay. Invisible from a distance, this small village of 70 souls nestles in the romantic hilly countryside. Here—about 7 kilometers inland from the coast—the Holsteinische Schweiz Nature Park begins, featuring numerous manor farms, castles, and the enchanting lake landscape that many guests still remember from the old Immenhof films.
On the outskirts of our agricultural village, set within a park-like area spanning over 5,000 square meters, lies the Landhaus Hobstin with the “Alte Kate.” When you arrive here, you’ll immediately feel like staying.
The “Alte Kate” is the oldest part of a country house built in the 1830 - 1832. Thanks to the garden’s design and its private entrance, the house has a character all its own. Your two parking spaces are located just a few meters from the entrance. The garden and terrace in front of the “Alte Kate,” as well as the small garden shed, are also exclusively at your disposal.
A small hallway with a coat closet leads to the open-concept living area on the first floor. The shower room with the toilet is also located here. The modern kitchen is equipped with all the amenities you wouldn’t want to do without on vacation. These include modern Siemens appliances, a washing machine, plenty of dishes and pots—and above all: sharp kitchen knives! The adjacent dining area and living room offer all the comforts you need to feel at home here year-round. These include the fully functional tiled stove and the underfloor heating on the first floor.
The two bedrooms are located on the upper floor. The larger one has a double bed (180 x 200), as well as a TV and two recliners. The smaller bedroom has two single beds (90 x 200).
The spacious, park-like 5,000-square-meter property features fruit and nut trees, as well as berry bushes, which are also available for guests to enjoy. Guests are welcome to use the lounge chair, cozy armchairs, and fire pit in the garden as they please. If needed, a wallbox for charging an electric car can be used at the standard electricity rate.
It takes about 12 minutes to drive to the nearest beach. Lübeck’s Old Town, Travemünde, Plön, or Heiligenhafen can be reached in about 30 minutes.
