Dirty, would not recommend

The location, as well as the size of the apartment were super convenient for us and made our stay in Riga easier. There were several facilities nearby such as a supermarket and coffee shops/fast food restaurants.

I initially did not receive the instructions email the host claimed they sent (checked all inboxes and spam folders), so getting in the apartment was quite difficult at first, we had to make multiple phone calls until the host eventually picks up, so we can get inside. While this might be a simple mistake or miscommunication, I cannot say the same about the cleanliness of the apartment. We found hair in the bathroom and dust was everywhere, suggesting that the apartment had not been properly cleaned before our arrival and making us doubt about the rest of the offered commodities, such as the linen and towels. We also wanted to drink water and cook a few simple meals to get us through the day, but, to our surprise, all dishes, pots and pans, and even the electric kettle, were not clean enough and had a compelling odour. We were extremely disappointed and, as much as we would love to remain neutral in this situation, we would never recommend staying in this apartment, especially if you’re looking for a place where you can easily cook and feel like home. If they were careful about these basic things, we would have nothing to say, as the apartment is really spacious and central. I’m sorry but you lost us here, keeping a space clean is fundamental when you’re offering accommodation and you failed to provide such a basic thing. I’m sharing photos as proof of what I just described.

We experienced terrible service, with guests forced to handle laundry and cleaning themselves.

We were looking for an apartment in the centre of Riga because we had business to attend to in that area. The location is good, close to cafés and restaurants in the centre of Riga. Unfortunately, this is the only real positive aspect of the apartment.

Upon arrival after a long and exhausting journey with children, we found the apartment completely unprepared for guests. There was no clean bed linen or towels, the apartment felt unfinished, and we were forced to unload laundry from the washing machine that had clearly been left there by previous guests. The situation was discussed via WhatsApp, for which we have evidence. Owner explained that the cleaner's husband had been sent instead of her. We were instructed to hang wet laundry ourselves, remove items from the wardrobe and put them back into the washing machine, and were even told to go to a store and buy our own towels and bed linen, use them immediately, and send her the receipt for reimbursement. She also suggested that anything that did not seem fresh should simply be washed by us. At one point, we were insisted to sleep on just purchased bed linen straight from the store, without washing it first, and questioned as to why that would be a problem. Towels were also missing. For hours, we waited for a promised delivery of bed linen, which arrived almost an hour later than promised. The entire evening had been lost dealing with this situation. Instead of resting, we were washing, hanging, and managing laundry, simply to be able to sleep. This is not something guests should ever be expected to do, especially after traveling all day and arriving with children. In addition, the bathroom was poorly cleaned. In the corner where towels were supposed to be hung, there was instead dirty cleaning equipment and supplies, adding to the overall impression that the apartment had not been prepared properly before our arrival. This was not a misunderstanding but a complete failure to prepare the apartment for guests. This is the first time I have ever encountered such an unacceptable and unprofessional attitude towards guests. The apartment was not ready for check-in, and the burden of fixing the situation was entirely placed on us. I strongly DO NOT recommend.

Dzīvoklis jauks un ļoti labā lokācijā

Televizors ir, bet tas nestrādā. Trūka glāzes (bija četras dažáda lieluma). Dzīvoklis jauks un viss būtu labi, ja to dzīvokli kārtīgi iztīrītu. Logi ļoti netīri
