It was great! There was food provided as well which I never had. The check-in was smooth, Ivana is so so so nice! highly recommended if staying in Catania. The location is close to train and bus which was great for us to go to the beach and catch trains.

The breakfast provisions left were very plentiful with lots of options. It was great to have acoffee machine and coffee. Overall, we absoolutely loved the place and it exceeded our expectations. It was so close to public transport and very walkable to the historic centre.
The outside lights in the courtyard seem to stay on all night - you only have control of some of them - and there aren't blinds, so if you are sensitive to light then you may want to wear an eye mask for sleeping.

Lage (nahe Bahnhof und Zentrum), Einkaufen nicht nötig, weil Wasserflaschen, Saft und div. Snacks vorhanden bzw. Kühlschrank fürs Frühstück gefüllt (Joghurt, Käse, Wurst, Eier, Butter, Marmelade, Milch, Säfte), Küche voll ausgestattet (Kochen möglich)
Haarpflegeprodukte und Duschgel ebenfalls vorhanden. Auch ausreichend Küchenrolle, Servietten und WC-Papier.
Geräumiges Apartment, theoretisch für 4 Personen ausreichend Platz.
Das Deponieren des Gepäcks vor der angegebenen Check-In-Zeit war möglich.
Das Haustor/Tor zur Straße konnte zugesperrt werden (man erhält einen Schlüssel für das Tor und einen zweiten für das Apartment, das ebenerdig im Innenhof zugänglich ist. Beim Check-Out kann der Schlüssel in einer Box hinterlegt werden.
Ich hätte mir mehr Ruhe am Abend und in der Nacht gewünscht. Dies war mir leider durch den Lärm einer Werkstatt im Hof (neben dem Apartment) und das nervende Betriebsgeräusch eines Geräts im Hof (ist ca. alle 10 Minuten angegangen) sowie Hundegebell/Jaulen nicht gegönnt.
Man sollte auch wissen, dass die Treppe zum Schlafzimmer rauf nur für recht fitte/schwindelfreie Menschen geeignet ist. War für mich eher schwierig, weil sie relativ steil ist und mir die Trittbretter zu schmal (zu wenig tief) waren. Oben angelangt, muss man wegen Platzmangels sehr Acht geben, sich nicht den Kopf an der Mauer/Decke anzustoßen, was mir leider passiert ist. Das Geländer hat waagrechte Stäbe - eigentlich sind normalerweise Senkrechte üblich, um Unfälle zu vermeiden. Für ältere Menschen und Kleinkinder ist das Schlafzimmer daher nicht gut geeignet. Es gibt jedoch im EG eine ausziehbare Couch. Bettzeug dafür ist auch vorhanden.
Die Lage in Bahnhofsnähe ist praktisch, aber wie oftmals in Städten, ist es nicht die beste und sauberste Gegend (habe mich teils recht unwohl/unsicher gefühlt).

Excellent location - close to the city center as well as the bus and train stations. You have the entire house to yourself, and breakfast is included; the host generously stocks the fridge with pastries, yogurt, cold cuts, eggs, and milk for the duration of your stay. The house itself is incredibly cozy and spacious.
Our host was exceptionally kind, responsive, and accommodating. She allowed us to drop off our bags before check-in so we could explore the city, and even let us stay a couple of hours past check-out when our flight was delayed. She stayed in touch throughout our stay to ensure everything was perfect.
The house has everything you could possibly need and more: a fully equipped kitchen (stove, cookware, coffee machine, toaster, microwave, and fridge), a laundry room with all the essentials, a spacious bathroom, and a lovely upstairs bedroom under the eaves—complete with an extra blanket for cold weather and air conditioning for the heat. We are incredibly grateful for our stay and the warm welcome! 🙏🏻
