The villa was very spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room. The beds were really comfortable and we slept very well throughout our 9-night stay.
It was also really close to Dalaman Airport, so there was hardly any transfer time. We actually loved being able to sit and watch the planes taking off and landing.
The local town was around 10 minutes away by car, with supermarkets, restaurants and shops, and the beach was only about 5 minutes away.
The villa had most things we needed for a self-catering stay, and the outside lights were fixed quickly when we reported that they weren’t working.
The biggest issue for us was the lack of sun around the pool. The sun didn’t reach the front of the villa until around 2:45pm, so the pool was very cold and there was very little opportunity to sunbathe by the pool. The only other sunny area was the small, hilly garden, but there were a huge number of ants and bugs and we were bitten so much that we couldn’t really use it. Being on the hill also meant it was quite windy, so the pool area could feel quite cold even when the weather was warm.
The villa is very close to the airport, which we loved for the convenience and watching the planes, but the aircraft noise is quite loud. The military jets were particularly loud and actually shook the villa when they took off. This was during the day, so it didn’t affect our sleep, but we did have to cover our ears.
For a self-catering villa, we also felt a few basic essentials should have been provided, such as hand soap, washing-up liquid and more than one toilet roll per room. We also needed to buy BBQ skewers. Some of the towels and pillows were stained, which we reported, but the towels weren’t replaced.
