Pleasant Stay
We had a great stay at the lovely art deco house, very clean & tidy. The mik, tea, coffee & biscuits were a nice touch. Good location for walking to town, beach & the Zoo.
Parking for unloading/loading is not ideal especially with little ones but we were able to find places to park the cars. A little disappointing there was no washing machine as property details were a bit confusing on Booking.com, however there is laundrette just round the corner.

Honest review
Milk and coffee and jug of cold water cant think of anything else .oh bus stop close
One wardrobe across 4 bedrooms,.ants nest in the kitchen which he clearly knows about with the trap and stuffed toilet paper every where which i dealt with every day, so not sure from the other reviews how he sorts it out . .broke slabs wobbling slabs where you sit and see the sea view in the distance ,over grown garden at the front of the property ,conservatory windows couldnt see out of for dirt ,gas and electric cupboard on door was on the floor in front other door had a screwed bit of plastic that had sharp edges, bathroom so poor design toilet you can not sit straight im 14 stone any bigger good luck, contact with him is very poor ,handles missing ,toilet holder very lose towel holder lose ,missing beeding on laminate floor. .nothing seems finished off apart from upstairs, french doors that only 1 opens ,other one catches on the roof sea view in the distance ,the front view of run down properties in front of you .32 steps leading to the property.so make sure your fit these are a nightmare in the dark .slope othee side is very steep .i would not stop here with a family just does not feel safe for them to play in the outside areas of the property ,parking is pot luck and streets are narrow double yellows lines outside the property.

A lovely long weekend
Lovely house in a quiet location.. short, fairly steep hill to get to the property with luggage but we weren't disappointed on arrival at the property. It had everything we needed and was clean throughout. Tea/coffee/milk & biscuits were a nice touch and the slippers came in handy :-)
Communication for booking was great and Chris, the host, gave us details of a choice of roads nearby where we were able to park the car on Friday and return on Monday.
The beds were comfy and the bedrooms were a good size downstairs. The 2 rooms in the attic conversion were quaint and cozy.
We all had a lovely stay and would definitely return to Paignton.

It did what we wanted but would look to stay else where if we were to return to Paignton
The property was lovely and had plenty of space, clean and tidy and had everything you needed. The only issue we had was finding the place as the pictures the landlord sent were not that clear and the climb to get to the property front door was not ideal but doable. Parking on the pavement with hazard lights on to unload the car. No parking at the property however the locals know the best places and although its pot luck there is parking within a 5 min walk to the property. The two loft converted bedrooms are great if you have small children but it was like an oven. We appreciated that the owner wants to keep the place tidy and costs to replace carpets is not cheap, but it takes away the relaxed vibe the property gives because you have to remember to take you shoes off and put the provided slippers on every time to walk into the bedroom. Would we stay here again, probably not as it is about 10/15mins to walk to the beech, or longer as you have to walk through the busy shopping centre of Paignton which caters for everything.
Wearing the provided slippers all the time when in the house. I had my own but felt obliged and intimidated for bringing my own.
The outside area needed a lot of work to make it a more social area to sit and chill and enjoy the British sunshine.
