Below-standard cleanliness and missing essentials made this an unacceptable and short-lived stay

Unfortunately, our stay was extremely disappointing. Upon check-in on 22 December, we immediately noticed dirty, stained carpets and missing basic amenities, such as a proper toothbrush holder. When raised with the host, we were advised to use plastic cups instead. We then discovered that the unit had no freezer, only a fridge. Despite raising this as a serious concern (we had brought frozen food), the host advised us to turn the fridge to a “very cold” setting, which is not a practical or acceptable solution. In our experience, all short-term rentals provide at least a fridge/freezer unless clearly stated otherwise — this was not disclosed at any point. Later that evening, we encountered multiple cockroaches in the bathroom, shower, and lounge. This was distressing, especially with a child, and forced us to keep our belongings elevated to avoid contamination. The overall hygiene of the unit was unacceptable. We checked out the next morning, staying less than 24 hours. Only after informing the host that we were leaving were we told a fridge/freezer would be added. This property did not meet advertised expectations, and we would not recommend staying here.

We had a good one night stay!

Good location, clean apartment, hosts are friendly. One of the bedrooms has good ocean view. Think it will be great to watch sunrise from there. We could not because of the cloudy weather.

More utensils (esp. smaller ones to cook for 2) should be available for cooking. Bathroom mirror should be above the wash basin and not on the side wall. At least a mirror should be provided (if not dressing table) in each of the bedroom. Instruction about how keys will be made available to guests should be mentioned on the booking.com website.
