Summary:

Three bedrooms and one bathroom for up to six guests, in a whole house in Southsea, Portsmouth. There's a king room, a small double and a twin room with two single beds, plus a dedicated desk for anyone who needs to work. Mornings start with the coffee machine, meals happen around one shared table, and evenings drift between the lounge and the garden out back. On foot, Fratton station is about 8 minutes away, Albert Road's restaurants and bars about 10, and Canoe Lake on the seafront about 21.



The Space:

Sleeping

King bedroom: a UK king-size bed (150 cm wide, similar to a US queen).

Small double bedroom: a UK small double bed (narrower than a US full).

Twin bedroom: two UK single beds (close to US twins).

Beds are made up with fresh linen before you arrive, and there are towels for every guest.



Bathrooms

One bathroom on the ground floor, with a bath and a separate shower, shared by all three bedrooms, which are upstairs. With a full house, a simple morning rota works well.



Kitchen and dining

A fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, toaster, kettle and a coffee machine with pods, plus pans, a baking sheet, crockery, cutlery and wine glasses. The dining table seats six, so the whole group can eat together.



Living room

TV, sound system and a games console, for movie nights and rainy afternoons.



Outside

A private garden behind the house, with outdoor furniture for meals and drinks in the fresh air.



Everyday practicals

Wi-Fi, a dedicated workspace, a washing machine in the kitchen and a tumble dryer, heating with a Hive thermostat, portable fans for warm nights, an iron, a hair dryer, hangers and clothes storage. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel are provided. Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, a fire extinguisher and a first aid kit are in the house.



Travelling with children

Children and babies are welcome. There's no cot or high chair, so please bring a travel cot if you need one.



Bringing your dog

Up to three dogs can join you, and a pet fee applies. The garden gives them space to stretch out at the end of the day.



Good to know

Stansted Road is on a residential street, so parties and events aren't allowed, and the house is non-smoking. Thank you for helping us be good neighbours.



Guest Access:

Your group has the whole house and garden. Self check-in is by lockbox between 4 pm and 9 pm, when check-in closes, and check-out is by 10 am. Street parking is in residents' zone MB (permits apply 6 pm to 8 pm only): one digital permit is included, and a second car needs paid parking.



The Neighborhood:

Stansted Road is a residential street in Southsea, Portsmouth's seaside district. Walking from the door: Fawcett Road's shops and cafés about 5 minutes, Albert Road's independent restaurants and bars about 10, and Fratton Park, home of Portsmouth FC, about 16. Canoe Lake and the seafront are about 21 minutes away, Southsea Common about 26 and Southsea Castle about 29, and every summer Victorious festival takes over the Common. For family days out, drive about 10 minutes to the Historic Dockyard to step aboard Nelson's Victory and see the Mary Rose, or about 6 minutes to the Spinnaker Tower, Gunwharf Quays or Eastney Beach. Portchester Castle is about 14 minutes by car.



Getting Around:

Fratton station is about 8 minutes' walk, with direct trains to Southampton, Brighton and London Waterloo, and Portsmouth and Southsea station about 19. Ferries to the Isle of Wight leave from Portsmouth Harbour, about 6 minutes' drive.

ID check and deposit: after booking, the lead guest completes a short ID check and deposit step with our partner SafeGuest. You choose either a Damage Deposit of £350 (your card is saved and nothing is taken up front; it can only be charged for a claim SafeGuest approves after check-out) or SafeGuest's No Deposit fee of £40 (a one-off fee paid to SafeGuest). If you can't use the photo ID check, message us and we'll arrange a short video call instead. Please don't send ID documents by email.
