The views, the breakfast and most importantly the staff were all exceptional. The views shown on the listing are not only what you will get, but they are better in person! The breakfast every morning was extremely tasty and a great way to start each day. And the owners, Patricia and Franco treated us like family. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The location of the hotel is perched on a hill top at the edge of Salento. We had a view of the city and the country side every day at breakfast. There is a short trail which connects the hotel to the town. If you are looking for a beautiful, tranquil location in Salento, Canela Mountain is your spot! We would absolutely come back to stay here at our next stay in Salento.
Nothing. Everything was amazing.

Patricia and Francisco were exceptionally kind hosts. They treated our group like family. They were very accommodating and also assisted us in booking local tours. The property is clean and very safe. While we were there, the property was going through expansion for even more amenities in the near future. We would highly recommend staying here!

¡El lugar es hermoso! Cómodo, muy limpio, el desayuno delicioso, la vista lindísima y la atención excelente. Un lugar que recomendaría y al que volvería muchas veces. Valoro muchísimo la calma que se siente en ese lugar.

We found Canela Mountain Village to be likely the best part of our time in Colombia. Between the views from the hotel and the people contained in it, it was a picture of excellence. Patricia and Franco were simply impeccable hosts, and Estefanie was very helpful with coordination of transportation, tours, or ways to pass the time. I cannot recall the name of the lady who worked in the on premise restaurant/kitchen but she did an awesome job cooking a delicious breakfast. We have never had such an experience in a hotel where we quite literally felt like we were at home. We would not change anything about our time in Salento staying at Canela. It will be where we stay for any future trips to Salento without hesitation.
