Disappointed 😞

It had a good, powerful shower, the water was hot, bathroom was nice.

Noise from the main road late at night and very early in the morning, I did not expect the cottage to be on the main rd. The bed was very soft, bedroom hot with no fan! There was just a wooden blind in the bedroom, no curtains, so the sun was pouring in at 4am! The only thing to sit on in the living area was a small sofa bed, which was so uncomfortable to sit and watch tv on in the evening, we actually ended up opening it up into a bed and laying on it to watch tv and read, my husband actually ended up sleeping on it as the bed upstairs was hurting his back. The window had shutters, which you have to keep closed or have everyone looking at you, as the room is very small, this feels very intrusive. The property is advertised as having a terrace and seating area, if this refers to the small patch of 'grass' by the side of the rear door, with an old looking table and chairs, it didn't look very inviting to sit and eat. The kitchen was on first impression, nice, very small, but this was not a problem , what was not nice was finding half a loaf of stale bread in one of the cupboards, a dirty tray in the oven, and no dinner size plates, only tea plates. We were very disappointed with this property and just glad we only stayed one night. Had we been booked for longer, we would have cut our losses and found alternative accommodation! Cannot comment on the hosts as although we were led to believe they would greet us on our arrival, we just had a message telling us where to find the key and the code to the box.

Very enjoyable, if I was revisiting the area I would stay here again if possible

Impressed to find good quality natural toiletries plus tea and coffee all ready for us in this self catering cottage. Very convenient location, lovely cottage, well maintained.

It would be a good idea to provide a cover for the outdoor table and chairs to keep them clean and particularly avoid bird droppings from birds that roost in the tree above.
