Perfect for one night at Shiraoi

The nice staff and playing with the cute dog. Close to the train station. On the way to Upopoy cultural park.

Nothing.

Fun time!!!

Staff were super sweet and the provided dinner was a delicious home cooked meal! (grilled salmon, katsu, salad, gratin, miso soup with meatballs, rice, and pickles). Facilities were dated but very clean overall, and the Ryokan had a cozy feeling.

Bathrooms are shared but I think this quite common with older ryokans

Super clean and comfortable. Owner is very kind.

Near station. And it is so clean.

Exceptional Hidden Hotel

I recently stayed at the Ryokan Ogita immediately after the big January snowstom. I was desparate after having suffered a two-day flight delay, but I got lucky with the two nights I spent in this long-standing family-run business where they also cook fine breakfasts and dinners, adding a mix of seafood to varied menu choices for excellent meals. The facility showed antiqueness to its economical, traditional bedding theme, but above all, it was spotlessly clean. Everywhere. Loved this place. Very highly recommended.

It was some distance from Chitose and the airport, though easily accessed by train from the airport.
