Wir würden die Wohnung in diesem Zustand nicht nochmals buchen.

Wir haben als Familie in der Wohnung M10-2B-04 in der Mangroven-Überbauung in El Gouna übernachtet. Die Lage hat uns grundsätzlich gut gefallen. Der Strand ist in der Nähe und den Kitestrand des KBC erreichten wir in etwa 10–15 Minuten zu Fuss. Nach unserem Kenntnisstand soll der KBC allerdings demnächst umziehen. Besonders praktisch fanden wir den Bestway Market sowie eine Apotheke, die beide nur ein bis zwei Gehminuten entfernt liegen. Die auf Booking.com angegebene Entfernung von 2,4 Kilometern zum nächsten Supermarkt entspricht daher aus unserer Sicht nicht den tatsächlichen Gegebenheiten. Unsere nächtliche Anreise und die Schlüsselübernahme über einen an der Haustür angebrachten Zahlencode-Schlüsseltresor verliefen problemlos. Unsere anfänglichen Zweifel an der Seriosität des Angebots bestätigten sich glücklicherweise nicht. Die Wohnung selbst ist ansprechend und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Positiv hervorheben möchten wir das WLAN sowie die Waschmaschine mit Trocknungsfunktion. Gerade für uns als Familie war die Waschmaschine sehr praktisch. Stauraum für Kleidung befindet sich hauptsächlich im Schlafzimmerschrank. Für uns reichte dieser gerade noch aus.

Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter empfanden wir bereits im Vorfeld als wenig freundlich und teilweise genervt. Enttäuschend war für uns der Zustand der Wohnung. Das Abflusssieb der Dusche war vollständig mit alten Haaren verstopft. Auf der Badezimmerlüftung lag eine dicke, schwarze Staubschicht, die den Eindruck erweckte, dass diese noch nie gereinigt wurde. Auch die Küche war bei unserer Ankunft nicht sauber: In einer Pfanne befanden sich Essensreste und an weiteren Kochutensilien hafteten Rückstände. Der Herd war stark verschmutzt und roch beim Einschalten verbrannt. Zusammen mit der unvollständigen Küchenausstattung führte dies dazu, dass wir auf das geplante Kochen verzichteten. Für vier Personen standen beispielsweise nur drei Messer zur Verfügung. Es gab keinen grossen Topf um für 4 Personen zB mal Spaghetti zu kochen. Ein scharfes Küchenmesser fehlte; vorhanden war lediglich ein Brotmesser. Auch Spülmittel, Schwamm oder Bürste sowie ein Abtrocknungstuch waren nicht vorhanden. Den auf Booking.com erwähnten Grill haben wir während unseres Aufenthalts ebenfalls nicht gesehen. Der offenbar neue Toaster funktionierte ebenfalls nicht. Nach unserer Meldung wurde dieser abgeholt. Obwohl wir ausdrücklich darauf hingewiesen hatten, dass wir den Toaster benötigen, erhielten wir bis zum Ende unseres Aufenthalts weder Ersatz noch eine weitere Rückmeldung. Auch bei den Hand- und Strandtüchern war die Ausstattung zunächst knapp. Für vier Personen lagen lediglich zwei Dusch- und zwei Strandtücher bereit. Auf Nachfrage wurden zwar weitere Tücher gebracht, normale Handtücher fehlten jedoch weiterhin. Zudem gab es im Badezimmer keine geeignete Möglichkeit, die Duschtücher aufzuhängen. Am schwersten wogen für uns allerdings die Sicherheitsmängel. Das Hochbett wirkte auf uns wackelig und instabil. Leiter und Absturzschutz waren lediglich eingesteckt und boten aus unserer Sicht keinen verlässlichen Halt. Aus diesem Grund liessen wir unsere Kinder dort nicht schlafen.
