I don’t typically leave negative reviews, but future guests should be aware of our experience. The property was poorly maintained. The exterior was dirty, and while the inside initially appeared clean, my children’s feet were black after only a few minutes of walking barefoot. We found bugs on the floors, spiderwebs with live spiders, and brown water coming from both the tap and refrigerator. There was no Wi-Fi or cable, and because the property is in a remote area, cell service was extremely limited. We had to contact VRBO to obtain the host’s phone number. When we called about the Wi-Fi issue, he was rude and offered no resolution. The biggest concerns were safety-related. The deadbolts on both the side and back doors did not work. A set of blinds fell and struck my partner in the head, causing a cut. We also had to purchase batteries because the smoke detectors were beeping continuously. When we left the next morning, there were large wasp nests and swarms of wasps around multiple entrances making entering and exiting difficult. To make matters worse, the owner later attempted to accuse us of damaging the property. Luckily we document/photograph everything including anything that appears damaged or unclean or wonky when we stay at a property. Overall, the cleanliness, maintenance issues, safety concerns, and host interaction made this a very disappointing stay. 10/10 do not recommend.

This property was filthy. The home was new but the property had not been thoroughly cleaned. Bugs and webs at the entrance door and in the corners inside of the home. Refrigerator had not been cleaned No towels and the ones she brought had black oil on them. Mold on shower curtain in front bathroom. Bathroom mat were filthy. Toothpaste splatter on the mirrors, used bar of soap left in closet. No flat sheets on either bed. Linen had to be changed due to greasy spots. Commode had brown water until flushed. Pillows were nasty on the couch. Initially planned to stay 2 nights but happy I booked it for one night. 450 for one night/property not worth it. Contacted the owner who agreed to come by but haven’t heard back yet. Totally ruined my plans for mySon’s graduation the next morning. Spent the night buying supplies and cleaning due to timing.
