Thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at this huge, totally refurbished apartment. All new quality appliances including dishwasher, oven, hob, fridge and freezer, and also a washing machine.
Central location , with shops, bars and restaurants a couple of minutes walk.
From the balcony, the view of the Port kept us entertained of an evening. The ferry's to Italy would be loaded at 8pm for a couple of hours, leave, then replacements offloaded in the morning. No worries about noise, as apartment fitted with electric shutters.
2 beaches within walking distance, either side.
Many artefacts discovered, a new museum built. They are still working on the 6 tons of historical object found in the hills just above the city. A roman amphitheatre was unearthed in 1966, worth visiting.
The coach for the airport is a 10 minute walk away, takes about 40 minutes, and is only 600 let pp.
Exchanged Stirling at a rate of 107, many exchange offices. The owner only accepts cash as payment, so bear that in mind.
Not a criticism, but you would never find the apartment without meeting the owner outside the shopping centre. Arranged to be able to drop our bags early whilst apartment being prepared, and that was a big help.

Highly recommend this apartment and its owner. A must-stay!
Everything was excellent, and what made the experience even better was the owner. They were exceptionally accommodating and regularly checked in to ensure everything was going well. We had a couple of personal requests that were unrelated to the apartment, and they were handled beyond our expectations.
The location is excellent, with everything you need within a 2 to 20-minute walk.
If you need local currency (LEK), the SPAR supermarket, just a 2-minute walk from the apartment, accepts credit cards and euros. If you pay in cash using euros, they will provide your change in local currency with no additional fees, and the exchange rate is very good. You can always ask the cashier about the current exchange rate before making a purchase.
For transportation, a taxi from Tirana Airport to the apartment costs approximately €30. Alternatively, the Adis Bus costs around €7 per person and stops at the Durrës Bus Terminal, which is about a 10-minute walk from the apartment.
Overall, this was a fantastic stay, and I would not hesitate to return or recommend it to others.
There was nothing, not to like.
