We stayed in the studio for four nights and really enjoyed the location. Waking up every morning to the sunrise over Monchique was special, the views are beautiful. The property is very quiet and peaceful, set in a small residential area with lovely natural surroundings that feel authentic and unspoiled.
Both beaches are very close: Monte Clérigo and Amoreira is about 15 minutes on foot, which was perfect for us as we were mainly there for surfing.
The studio itself is comfortable for a couple.
It has a small independent kitchen and a private bathroom, which worked well for us. There’s an outdoor fridge shared with the bungalow guests and a shared outdoor area, but we barely crossed paths with anyone else. The outdoor shower is a real highlight.
The setup feels ideal for three or four people (families with kids two in the studio and two in the bungalow), as it gives everyone good privacy in the outdoor spaces.
Check-in could be improved.
We only received the access instructions by email on the day of arrival, so we ended up waiting about 20 minutes at the gate (we were travelling and hadn’t checked our email).
When we asked if we could leave a bit later than the official check-out time, there was no flexibility at all even though the guests in the bungalow had only left around 5 pm the day we arrived.
