Very disappointing
Despite being in an area that is a bit rundown, the property is well located for public transport. However there is very little around it in terms of facilities and local pubs don't exactly beg to be explored.
The property was not up to any standard for tourist accommodation and was very disappointing.
The kitchen was scarcely equipped, windows could not be opened fully and in a heatwave it was very uncomfortable.
When we arrived there wasn't even some soap to wash our hands, just some toilet paper.
We soon found out that the bed was broken and springs were protruding. We slept on that broken bed for 5 nights. The owners told us they would have provided a new mattress but this never happened.
There was broken gift paper sellotaped to the upper parts of the bedroom windows and the small balcony was very dirty, with previous rubbish in a container and a dirty floor. We were told that someone would come to clean it but we didn't see any change.
Since the windows couldn't be opened properly, we asked for at least a couple of fans and we were delivered a box with two fans that we had to mount ourselves, as if tourists went on holidays with a set of tools.
The flat itself could be nice and cosy but the building is also not well kept and it's evident that the owners are amateurs who are taking advantage. It's not acceptable anywhere for paying guests to sleep on a broken mattress whose springs are coming out and we have photos to prove it.
We were given 36 euros as compensation, which is laughable.
Also, there was no fire door at the entrance, no indication of an escape route and no emergency information.
All in all, a poor experience for a family who was looking forward to a holiday. We would not recommend this flat to anyone.
It needs refurbishment and owners that know what they are doing.
