Our stay at Equipoise Resort was nothing short of exceptional. Having experienced many beautiful places, what makes this resort stand out is how effortlessly it combines breathtaking surroundings, outstanding comfort, incredible attention to detail, and hospitality that genuinely goes above and beyond. First, the rice-field-view villa. Absolutely insane. The view is one of those things that photographs simply cannot do justice to. Waking up to that breathtaking panorama of Bali’s rice terraces and lush greenery feels almost surreal. The scenery is extraordinary, and the way the villa opens up to its surroundings makes the entire experience feel immersive, peaceful, and incredibly special. The private pool and terrace make it even better. Honestly, the view alone is worth talking about. The comfort throughout the stay was equally impressive. Everything felt thoughtfully considered, from the design and atmosphere to the little details that make a difference when you’re settling in. The experience feels luxurious without being pretentious, and relaxing without compromising on quality. Everything comes together beautifully. But what truly makes Equipoise exceptional is its people. The entire team demonstrates a remarkable level of attentiveness and personalization. They don’t simply recognize you when you walk past; they genuinely know you. They remember your stay, your preferences, what you enjoy, and even the little things you might not expect them to remember. You never feel like you’re starting from scratch with each interaction. Instead, there’s a wonderful sense of familiarity, as though the entire team is collectively looking out for you and making sure you’re comfortable. That level of consistency is what impressed me most. It’s not just one outstanding staff member or one memorable moment. The thoughtfulness extends throughout the team, making every interaction feel natural, warm, and sincere.

I absolutely loved my stay at Equipoise Resort! The resort itself is stunning, the facilities are amazing, and the staff are honestly some of the loveliest, most welcoming people I’ve ever met. As a solo female traveller celebrating my 30th birthday, feeling safe and comfortable was really important to me, and the entire team went above and beyond to make sure I felt that way. Every staff member knew me by name and would greet me whenever they saw me, which made the whole experience feel so personal and special. The team really made my birthday unforgettable! On arrival, they had beautifully decorated my bed with a lovely Happy Birthday message, which was such a thoughtful touch. I also had a dinner reservation at their on-site steakhouse restaurant, Riserva, where the staff surprised me with a birthday cake and flowers! It was such a lovely, unexpected gesture and made me feel incredibly special, especially being there celebrating on my own. I also booked the additional private pool flower decoration, and WOW, it was absolutely breathtaking! The team even came to arrange it earlier than expected, meaning I got to enjoy it for a little longer than the allocated time, which I really appreciated. I genuinely cannot get over how beautiful it looked! The pictures were stunning, and everyone who saw them absolutely loved them. It was such a special experience and definitely one of the highlights of my birthday trip. I would highly recommend this add-on to anyone celebrating a special occasion! During my last couple of nights, I could hear a few geckos high up in the ceiling of my villa. The staff kindly arranged mosquito netting over my bed for reassurance. They weren’t particularly loud, never came down, and given how high the ceilings were, I completely understood that removing them would have been almost impossible. It certainly didn’t ruin my experience.

My only suggestion would be to consider adding heated private pools, especially during the cooler months. For such a beautiful luxury resort, it would be lovely to enjoy the private pool regardless of the temperature, as the water can feel a little chilly outside the hottest season. It would be a shame not to be able to fully enjoy such a gorgeous feature of the villa because the water is too cold. Overall, I had such a wonderful experience and genuinely couldn’t have asked for a more welcoming team. The kindness, attention to detail, beautiful surroundings and personalised service made my 30th birthday trip even more memorable. Thank you to everyone at Equipoise for making my stay so special! I would absolutely recommend this resort, especially to solo travellers, and would happily return!

Great property, friendly staff, really good food

What we got really frustrated about was that we had a late flight and then a 2 hour grab ride to the property which was fine, but it was 11pm by the time we got in, and when we were checking in we told them that we just wanted to get to the room and go to bed. They still the foot massage, so we did that and let them know again we wanted to get to the room. They brought us to the pool area for a welcome drink so we sat and drank that and we’re just sitting there waiting for them to take us to the room. It wasn’t until 45 mins we finally got to the room. Again when we got there the guy wanted to give us a tour and I told him we didn’t need it and just wanted to go to sleep. He still proceeded to go through all the areas. We got upstairs and he starts going through all the remotes, and I told him we won’t be watching tv so don’t need to know, he still kept on. There is a balcony with the room that you can lay on and he made us get on it. By this time I was so frustrated I just said can you please just let us go to sleep. It just started off on the wrong foot for us. We were also bummed that the classes were fully booked and it was part of why we wanted to stay there. Still great property and great food, just could have been a better experience.
