Nice location, but cold and musty. Stove and oven were not accessible
Host was responsive when contacted. Location is convenient. Neighborhood is very nice. Nice scenery out back, including the gazebo. It would take just a few touches to make this a great rental. The host was pleasant in text conversations.
We walked into the unit and experienced a strong musty smell and the unit was cold. The bedroom already had a radiator style space heater and we requested another one for the dining area. The thermostat on the heater unit read 62 degrees in the unit when we started the 2nd heater. It was mostly in the morning that it was cold. The place was not very clean. We could wipe the top of the toilet tank and some other areas and see the streak our fingers left. It did not seem to have been vacuumed because my husband found plastic bits on the carpeting. The unit was also not as described in a few areas. The description says it has a fully stocked kitchen with oven and stove. Well, the oven/stove was in the corner of the very small kitchen with a bunch of stuff piled on it and a small fridge blocking it. We had to plug in the fridge. If there were pots and pans, they would have been inside the inaccessible oven because we did not see any. While there was a microwave, the bowls provided were very small and the ones we looked at were not supposed to be used in the microwave. The hot water barely trickled out of the kitchen faucet and needed maintenance for leaking. We did not talk to the host about these items except for the cold issue because I didn’t want confrontation and these issues would have been hard to solve quickly. I went to Kohls and purchased bowls to heat the oatmeal we had brought. We were not at the apartment very much except to sleep because we had a busy schedule.
