Very grateful this host could accommodate us at very short notice.

Unusual(!) as they were located in a key box attached to railings on the opposite side of the street to the property. I should preface my comments by saying this was an emergency booking, made when our original booking (Elegance Suiten Wien) cancelled our reservation with only 90 minutes notice. The instructions were clear, but in our stress we didn't read them properly! The host was excellent in responding quickly and patiently to our panicky messages!

Some might find the lack of TV disappointing.

Do NOT book! Illegal logistics, unhygienic conditions, dishonest host

Very convenient location on Operngasse, just 2 blocks from the Wiener Staatsoper where I was working. The big bed was comfortable and clean. Also, excellent wifi (which is the only reason I stayed in the apartment for 3 days when I had to work intensively in the mornings). This studio apartment has potential, if only someone knew how to properly clean it up.

Illegal lockbox & safety: The landlord bypassed standard check-in logistics and placed the key box on a public TU Wien bicycle path!! This is a public safety hazard and illegal under Vienna municipal rules. Hostile arrival: The landlord failed to clarify basic info like the house number!! I had to keep messaging him from the plane when he disappeared for 3 hours on the day I was arriving. On arrival @ the spot I had to enlist the help of local shop workers ("Fat Monk") just to hunt down the keys on a random street fence. We discussed calling local police about this. Misrepresentation: The apartment was advertised as "elegant", but the dilapidated furniture makes it unfit for a business trip. Parts of the interior are unacceptable: The couch is heavily soiled, dilapidated, and emits a severe, foul odor. Electrical plugs are literally hanging off the wall, posing a serious safety hazard. There's a tacky Marilyn Monroe "painting" over the bed that makes the place eerily look like a rent-by-the-hour establishment. Critical utilities failure: The bathroom sink is partly clogged. Worst of all, the entire building had the water shut off completely for 5 hours (9.00am-15.00pm) due to maintenance on September 17, leaving the apartment without basic sanitation. After that experience I moved out, canceling the rest of my stay.

Buena estancia

En general estaba bien para pasar un par de días, la cama es cómoda y está bien situado, al lado de la ópera!

No había gel ni champú en el baño!
