Very unpleasant and never to be repeated!
The view of the sea from the dining room table
I rarely, if ever leave negative reviews, as I understand that things can go wrong. However, our experience was so disappointing that I feel it is important to share.
We arrived after a long drive, looking forward to a relaxing weekend. The lounge and kitchen were clean and looked as advertised, but the bedroom was a very different experience. The sheets were stained, the duvet cover had what appeared to be mildew marks, and the room had a strong musty, damp smell. We were so uncomfortable with the pillowcases that we went out immediately to buy our own, and the pillows were extremely old and lumpy.
There was only one wine glass, and noise from the flat above meant we had very little sleep on the first night. The second morning, my husband woke up covered in bites from the bed, at which point we decided to leave early and return home.
The listing also advertised free parking, but we could not find any within a block of the apartment and had to pay for parking on both days.
When I contacted the owners, they acknowledged that the pillows needed replacing but said they could find nothing wrong with the bedding. They also said they could not see any blood from the bites, which made us feel that our account was being doubted. Their response to the lack of wine glasses was that we could use water glasses instead? They later sent photographs of available street parking after we had already left, which we couldn't understand the relevance of.
We asked for a refund for the unused night, but the response was extremely defensive and dismissive and there appeared to be no genuine effort to resolve the issue. We felt like they had their money and were really not interested.
What should have been a relaxing, wonderful weekend became an uncomfortable and upsetting stay, and we would definitely not recommend this property in the current state.

It’s a wonderfully calm and beautiful flat - if you can block out the traffic noise!
Great place to stay - thanks!
No information booklet. Heating control tricky. Kitchen badly lit. Weird kitchen cupboard doors. Communal entrance very dirty.
