Shabby and grubby with broken fixtures. This apartment is not as advertised and looks nothing like the lovely pictures.
Nothing unfortunately
The photos are not the reality of the apartment. It is very shabby and grubby. The terrace is dirty and had not been cleaned with cigarette butts on the floor. The condition is very bad with dirty balcony surround. The outdoor furniture was shabby and dirty and very poor quality. The shower attachment was broken and the shower cubicle dirty and stained. The flush button on and toilet was broken. None of the lamps (bedrooms or living area) had bulbs so not useable. The towels provided were grubby looking and threadbare. The spare duvet in the cupboard was stained and obviously had not been cleaned. The wardrobe sliding doors in both bedrooms were off the rails. The dishware in the kitchen was chipped and the coffee maker did not work. The hairdryer provided made a dreadful rattle noise and smelt of burning so I couldn’t use it. The ‘complimentary toiletries’ was a single half empty pump bottle of hand wash in each bathroom. The air conditioning was not working when we arrived on the hottest day of the year. The agent failed to turn up to fix it and then expected me to fiddle with the fuse box to try to get power to the air conditioning unit which I was reluctant to do as it did not look safe. The electricity then went off completely on the third day. By this time we had had enough so moved to a nearby hotel for the rest of the week. I wish we’d gone there to start with. Extremely disappointed because this was supposed to be a relaxing break with my adult daughter after losing my husband last year to cancer. This was not a cheap apartment so very disappointed. I have asked for a part refund to compensate but have as yet failed to get a response. Buyer beware do not stay here. It is nothing like the lovely pictures. A conversation with a resident of the block revealed that this apartment has a reputation of being ‘not good’. So be warned.
