Great choice for easy-breezy time in La Jolla! Location was key for us on this trip, and this spot delivered exactly what we wanted. Super close beach access, quiet nights and mornings, and easy walks to fun breakfast cafes made it perfect. Living room and outdoor tiny patio are comfortable spots for two people, though not for any entertaining. The bedroom is small, but the bed is perfect. One of the most comfortable I've ever slept on. The kitchen is well-stocked with every small appliance you could want and plenty of plates and glasses of all types. No dishwasher, but that was fine with us as we were mostly eating out. -- One odd note: despite all the cooking utensils you could wish for, there was a very limited supply of flatware to eat from (only two forks, for example, of non-matching size). Again, for us this was not a big deal, but it might be for some people. Host communication was great, and super-responsive when we noted a minor issue.If you're looking for a spacious, elegant beach house, this isn't it. Several spots where a refreshed painting job would be nice. But for what my husband and I wanted, it was excellent and we'd stay here again for sure.

One block from one of the world's most beautiful beaches! What else could anyone want? Nice, simple place. If I could add anything, it might be a little washable rug on the floor. The directions should make it clear that you have to enter through an alleyway in the back--I'm sure they'll fix that minor glitch.

Great spot on a quiet street, a short walk away from the beach. It was everything we needed to just get away for a few days.
