About this apartment rental
Modern, spacious vacation apartment with a balcony and lake view right in the heart of the Old Town. It has 1 bedroom, a living room with a very comfortable sleeper sofa, both equipped with a large flat-screen TV (with PlayStation), There is a well-equipped, spacious kitchen with a refrigerator and freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave, an oven, a Nespresso machine, a milk frother, a kettle, a mixer, etc.
The bright bathroom is equipped with a shower, and there is a separate toilet. There is space for your luggage in the storage room. A washing machine and dryer (both Miele) are provided. Towels and bed linens are provided in this vacation rental.
You’ll be staying in a 75-square-meter space with the distinctive charm of an older building. High ceilings, lattice windows, oiled oak parquet flooring, and carefully selected furniture make this apartment a truly special vacation oasis. Relaxation is the order of the day!
On the first floor of the house—which was built in the 15th century and is considered a particularly beautiful example of a Salzkammergut patrician residence—there’s a cozy little café (closed in the evenings!) serving the best coffee in Gmunden. The owners cook and bake everything themselves—and it’s incredibly delicious.
Just 200 meters further along the old cobblestone street (accessible only to residents) and you’ll find yourself right on the shores of Lake Traunsee. A boat tour, water sports, or just relaxing on the shore—anything is possible here. And if you want to go for a bike ride—no problem: the apartment comes with 4 bikes. The Traunstein (1,691 m) is just a 30-minute bike ride away on the other side of the lake.
Restaurants, cafés, theaters, a movie theater, a supermarket, or even the nearest tram stop—you can reach everything in just a few minutes’ walk. This also applies to the weekly market, which takes place here every Tuesday and Saturday within sight of your apartment.
The same goes for the traditional ceramics market (don’t forget: Gmunden is world-famous for its ceramics!)
We’ve put a lot of effort into furnishing this apartment—we even stay here ourselves whenever we want to escape the daily grind. And that’s why we’re sure you’ll feel right at home, too!
The accommodations are 50 km from Messe Ried and 36 km from Kaiservilla. Kremsmünster is 45 km away, and Linz Airport is 58 km away. The Gmunden train station is 1.8 km away. Ort Castle is 2 km away.
