Views great but would not recommend

Place was rather grubby and needs a total upgrade and redecoration. All very dated. Painting on walls and furniture awful and looks like a child has done it. There are paint splatters everywhere ie floor, table tops, fridge top and even on mattress! The plumbing needs urgent attention so that there is hot water in each area and all toilets function. The twin beds put together were of a different height ie 3/4" and the sheets only just covered the flat area of the bed and did not tuck under mattress. One sheet had a hole in it. Room continually had a smell coming from the bathroom area. Breakfast tasted good but needs to be presented better ie serviettes instead of a bit of kitchen roll. We like to be private but host was standing right by table watching us eat the breakfast and then came and sat in a chair right by our table. Though meant to have use of whole area, as advertised, a family group one day were on the balcony and were quite loud and using toilet in our area and one of them entered our room. We were meant to be staying three nights but left after two. Fortunately friends had arrived in Crete and we left to meet up with them. Place was very cheap but we would have preferred to pay more and have much better facilities. If my husband had been writing this review it would have been much worse!!. I would not recommend to stay until renovations' have taken place and everything been upgraded. Such a shame as the views are spectacular from the balcony.

BEWARE SCAM!!!!

We booked this property because, based on the photos in the listing and its location—the only positive aspect of the place—it appeared to offer good value for money. However, when we arrived and the owner, Ms. Eleni, showed us the property, which she claimed had been recently renovated, we were confronted with a completely different reality. The photos in the listing do not correspond to the property at all; they appear to be photos of a completely different accommodation. The property, including our room, reeked of cigarette smoke and had not being ventilated. The spaces were clearly part of an apparently unauthorised third-floor extension, right on the borderline of habitability, hygiene and safety standards. The entire “house” was in a shocking state, full of unfinished details and poor workmanship: paint stains, dirt, electrical and internet cables hanging loose in several places, and a kitchen that was an absolute disaster. Grime and filth were visible everywhere. The upholstery of the sofas and the bed was stained, and the previous guest’s rubbish was still in our room. I did not even dare to properly inspect the bathroom. There were no locks or keys to secure the spaces that were directly open to the street. On top of this, the owner would come in and out without warning, behaving in an extremely intrusive manner and completely disregarding our privacy. The photographs I have attached speak for themselves. Booking.com should seriously review and remove this listing, and prevent other guests from being deceived in the same way. This is the first time we have ever experienced anything remotely like this when booking accommodation through the platform. We lasted less than half an hour in the property because, honestly, I felt that staying there would put our health, safety and peace of mind at risk. I eventually confronted the owner about what I considered to be a blatant deception.

Betrug!!! Finger weg!!!

Nichts, wir sind gar nicht geblieben, sehr ekelhaft und dreckig.

Bertug!!! Alles war unglaublich schlecht, vom Personal bis zur Wohnung selbst. Wir habe etwas anderes gebucht, wurden aber an "Selena Rooms" geschickt, was ein anderee Account ist. So sind wir weiter gezogen ohne Rückerstattung. Booking.com hat ebenfalls Null Support geliefert. Rechtschutzversicherung ist bereits dran!!! Finger weg!!!

Nous avons apprécié la propreté de la chambre et l'accueil très sérieux. Eleni était très touchante et nous a offert, dès notre arrivée, un goûter, le lendemain un excellent petit déjeuner. Nous la remercions vivement et garderons un souvenir très cher de ce moment partagé et sa bonne volonté. En plus, sa terrasse surplombe la mer et la vue est magnifique. Pas de bruit la nuit et sérénité de l'endroit.

Tout était très bien.
