Sketchy!
Beautiful property
Convenient to cruise port
The day before we were to arrive, I was contacted by the property owner who said my credit card would not authorize for the $1000 deposit. I had not been told there would be any deposit much less a $1000! After them trying to authorize the credit card several times, I ask what credit card they were using. Then I was told, "oh, it looks like we don't have a credit card on file". ??
A couple of hours before our arrival, the property owner emailed and said the oven and microwave were not working in unit B so she had moved us to unit A. When we arrived, there were people in unit B???
Listing showed there to be the following bedrooms and beds:
Bedroom #1: 1 king bed, 1 futon, and 1 foldout bed
Bedroom #2: 1 king bed, 1 futon, and 1 foldout bed
Bedroom #3: 1 king bed, 1 futon, and 1 foldout bed
With adults and children, this would have worked perfect for our needs.
The house ACTUALLY only had:
Bedroom #1: 1 king bed
Bedroom #2: 1 queen bed
Bedroom #3: 1 queen bed
Hallway: 1 broken futon
Livingroom: 1 foldout bed
We had 10 people so 2 people had to sleep on the floor as there were not enough beds.
I emailed the property owner and after several emails, I assume she looked at the listing and said, "oh booking.com has it listed wrong but there is nothing I can do about it now". Then the property owner had the nerve to say, "by the way, booking.com did not charge you some fees they should have charged."
Could not find any towels or wash clothes in the bathrooms. We search every cabinet and drawer in the bathrooms and laundry room (places you would think that BATH TOWELS would be located). I emailed the property owner and she said they are in the closet. I looked again in the bathroom closets, cabinets, and drawers. We finally found them in the BEDROOM closets??
This is the biggest mess I have ever experienced with a rental. So much seemed very sketchy!
