The spa + the view was the best experience I had from the place. They also have information about the place and the surrounding activities you can do.
It is not that private but the owner will give you enough privacy to enjoy your stay. Also, the driveway is quite steep so we decided to park down on the side of the road after we got our dinner.

The view from the back balcony of the lake and surrounding areas including Mt Tarawera was spectacular!
The spa on the deck was fabulous too. The cat named Marley was adorable 😍
The mattress on the bed was quite old and bumpy. The pillows were not great either. A microwave and TV in the room would have been useful. The worst thing of all was the driveway and parking area. It was a nightmare getting in and out.

Stunning view it is absolutely beautiful.
Spotless room. Great shower.
Unfortunately for us the bed was extremely low and my partner who is older with bad health he could not manage getting up from the bed so we had to leave after the first night. This would not be a concern for more able people. The door from our room to the house did not lock.
