Unacceptable hygiene conditions despite decent facilities.

There was enough kitchenware. The kitchenware was clean and neatly arranged. There was a microwave, a refrigerator, and an electric stove. There was also a fan in the room, which helped us sleep at night when it was hot. Two roof windows could be opened, providing additional ventilation.

The accommodation itself is located in an old and rather run-down building. The main entrance door to the building is broken, so anyone can enter without a code, although access to the property itself is protected by a coded gate. When we entered the room, there were hundreds of green flies flying around. They were literally everywhere, and it took us more than an hour to get rid of them. The floor and the table were also covered with hundreds of dead flies. It was quite a shock, especially when travelling with a child. I had to use my own cloth and spend another hour cleaning the room, removing the dead flies, and wiping down the table and kitchen area. On the second day, we also discovered cockroaches. The owner speaks only French and does not make an effort to use a translation tool. He offered to send a cleaner on the second day, but by that point I had already cleaned the entire room myself, so I saw no point in having a cleaner come.
