Pretty Awful !

Room was clean, facilities good, easy to check

I was in Peterborough for a close friends Funeral, coming down from Manchester. At first everything was fine, room easy to find, area good, room clean with good facilities. Then on my first night at around 2am, the house became very loud, there was a lot of people coming and going, and the fire doors seemed to be constantly being banged (this was very loud!), with someone talking loudly on their phones very loudly. This continued well into the night and I only managed a small amount of sleep. Next night was even worse, the people in the room next door were banging on the walls (no idea what they were doing !), and again there was a lot of people coming and going, with the doors constantly banging again. Then at 2am, the people next door started arguing (something about a lighter!!), that night I only managed a couple of nights sleep. There was a smell of cigarette smoke and cannabis and at one point I heard someone spraying deodorant, presumably to mask the smell !I could also smell this quite strongly. There also seemed to be several cars coming and going outside all night, with someone meeting the people in these cars outside. I suffer from anxiety and the next day, I was in a total mess, I had the emotion and the stress of my friends funeral, plus, I'd only got about 5 hours sleep in 48 hours. It took me several days and a couple of good nights sleep to return to normal. I'm not 100% sure, but presume these rooms are used for emergency accommodation for people. Which to me would explain everything! All in all, very disappointed and really wished I'd just spent a bit more on the travel lodge or premier inn !

Ok, but wouldn't stay again

The room itself was clean, well kept and comfortable

There was no parking at all. Even though there is no "allocated" parking, you cannot park ANYWHERE near the place as it's all residents parking permit only. When I called to ask for some advice from the person responsible for the place, she was rude and basically said she had no idea where to park, she wasn't from the area. Another issue, when I left the room in the morning, there was an overpowering smell of weed. I don't mind it but for some families with children - not so great!

The room itself was clean, well kept and comfortable
