My travel plans were disrupted at the last minute because the property was not actually availab
There was nothing about this experience that I could positively acknowledge.
Since the property had already been booked through April, it should have been properly blocked in the system instead of continuing to accept reservations and payments. What was even more unacceptable was that after the issue arose, the host remained unresponsive to emails and phone calls, and even failed to respond to attempts made by Booking.com customer service. Ultimately, I was only informed via text message that the property was unavailable, accompanied by a questioning tone asking whether I was unaware that it had already been booked until April.
As a guest, I only learned that the property was unavailable after successfully making and fully paying for the reservation through the Booking platform. Given that the system allowed the booking and payment to go through, I had every reason to believe the property was available for a normal stay. This situation severely disrupted my travel plans and forced me to urgently find alternative accommodation at a higher cost within a very limited timeframe, causing unnecessary financial loss and significant time pressure.
This is the first time I have left a negative review on the Booking platform. This experience reflects serious shortcomings on the host’s side in terms of inventory management, communication responsibility, and basic service attitude. I hope the platform will strengthen oversight to prevent other travelers from encountering similar situations.
