Lovely Location, but the Property Needs Serious Attention

Firstly, the location was excellent, parking was convenient, and the apartment itself had a lovely layout. Gran Canaria is a beautiful destination, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time on the island. Unfortunately, the accommodation did not live up to its potential.

For a property advertised as suitable for families, the facilities were surprisingly inadequate. The washing machine was exceptionally small, more appropriate for a single occupant than a family. Similarly, the kitchen was poorly equipped, with insufficient utensils and cutlery. We had to purchase basic essentials, including a potato peeler, spatula and scourer. More concerning was the condition of some kitchen utensils, which were heavily burnt and encrusted with food residue that could not be removed. This raises serious questions about cleaning standards and attention to detail. The electrics also repeatedly tripped during our stay, leaving us to investigate and resolve the issue ourselves without adequate guidance. The living area was another disappointment. The sofa was disproportionately small for a family-sized apartment and extremely uncomfortable, making it unsuitable for relaxing together. Perhaps the most distressing experience was discovering cockroaches on three separate occasions, including one crawling across our pillow. This was absolutely horrifying and left us feeling extremely uncomfortable in what should have been a clean and relaxing environment. As a direct result, we felt unable to sleep in the bedroom and were forced to spend two nights sleeping in the living room. This is simply unacceptable, particularly for accommodation marketed towards families. Although there appeared to be evidence of external pest-control maintenance, the preventative measures inside the apartment were clearly inadequate. No paying guest should have to compromise their comfort or sleeping arrangements because of concerns over hygiene and pest control. Even the checkout process was unnecessarily complicated. We were required to drive partway up the driveway to activate the gates, while another member of our party had to return to the property to leave the keys. This was an impractical and poorly considered arrangement, particularly when departing with children.

Very poor

Was a joke from start to finish they was no damage from us , we smoked outside the property , my friend injured he’s back where he had fallen through chair which we have returned to uk and will be going to the hospital and sending you all proof off because will be putting a claim in very poor from start to finish, made us use same towels for whole duration didn’t come around once to see if we needed anything, just a complete rip off keys left in a lock box couldn’t get in main gate late on night after flight, was a joke from start to finish
