This is a beautiful accommodation and I would recommend it to anyone travelling to Rome. The bed was comfortable, the shower was terrific, and the little snacks in the shared kitchen were very helpful when I was too rushed to find food elsewhere. The hosts were very responsive to my inquiries and seem to really want to make the stay pleasant. I was intimidated by the instructions that were originally sent to me to access the building mainly because my phone did not like Italy's cell system. If I had to rely on my phone to gain entry for the three nights I stayed, I would have been locked out for sure. However, I was provided with keys to unlock the doors for me when I arrived at the 3:00 check in time.
The location is very handy for the area around the Vatican. I found the public transport a bit far away, but that is only because I walked so much during the day I was exhausted by the time I arrived back by the metro, so the walk seemed endless. It was really only 5 blocks.
The restaurants are plentiful in the area, however the variety on the menu was similar in every menu; pasta, pizza, pasta, pizza. One thing nice I was happy to discover is that now there are salads on the menu which I had a hard time finding when I was in Rome 13 years ago. So my advice is if you are looking for good Italian food, look to the residential areas in Rome where the people who live there eat.
