I absolutely loved my stay at Mihunga Campsite! The location is stunning, surrounded by lush greenery and incredible views of the Rwenzori Mountains. It’s such a peaceful place to stay and a great base for exploring the surrounding area.
What really made our experience special was the warmth and hospitality of everyone involved. we felt welcomed and looked after throughout our stay, and the whole experience felt really authentic and personal.
It’s also wonderful knowing that the campsite is run by local women and that saying here directly supports the surrounding community, which makes it even more worthwhile.
I couldn’t recommend this place enough to anyone visiting the region or even just Uganda itself. It’s a beautiful spot with a relaxed atmosphere and a real sense of community.

Mihunga Campsite and Community Center Ruboni was the best accommodation I stayed at in Uganda. While it is a bit remote, the reception team helped us to arrange accommodation from Entebbe which made the journey really easy. The scenery and atmosphere is unlike anything I have ever seen. It is so beautiful and every part of the accommodation has a Mountain View. The accommodation and facilities were very comfortable and as expected. There are lots of activities and tours that they offer, including hiking the extraordinary Rwenzori mountains. You will never be bored here. The staff were so lovely and welcoming, they worked hard to make sure we were always comfortable and had everything we needed.
