Our newly renovated apartment with a balcony can accommodate 2–4 people and a toddler. The apartment has a floor area of approximately 100 m², though its usability is somewhat limited in some areas due to the construction of the wooden house and the sloped ceilings. It features a combined living and sleeping area with satellite TV, a double bed (180x200), a couch (which can be used as a third bed, 100x200), a pull-out trundle bed (80x200) as a fourth bed, and a crib (70x140). The fully equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, an induction stove with an oven, and a refrigerator with a freezer compartment. The kitchen also includes a kettle, a coffee maker, a bread slicer, a mixer, a toaster, and a SodaStream. Dish towels, dish soap, soap, and paper towels are provided. For a cozy coffee break or breakfast, there is coffee, tea, sugar, and rock candy. Vinegar, oil, and spices are also available. The kitchen also features a small children’s area with a table and chairs, as well as a cozy nook. Various games, puzzles, books, and art supplies are available. Upon request, we’ll provide a high chair free of charge. The spacious bathroom is equipped with a rain shower, toilet, sink, and hair dryer. Toilet paper, feminine hygiene products, soap, shampoo, shower gel, cotton pads, and cotton swabs are included. For cleaning, the storage room contains a vacuum cleaner, mop, broom, cleaning supplies, and a clothes rack. Bed linens, towels, and dish towels are included. There are outlets with built-in USB ports by the bed and the couch, as well as in the kitchen. Wi-Fi and parking are available free of charge. Enjoy relaxing days in our cozy and newly renovated “Midsommar” vacation rental, located in our beautiful Finnish log cabin in a quiet setting on the outskirts of town. The house was built 30 years ago, and in 2015 we transformed it into our little “Bullerbü” home, painting it red with white windows. The surroundings: Welcome to Hohenberg an der Eger on the eastern edge of the Fichtelgebirge. Our apartment is located on the northwestern outskirts of our lovely little town. It’s the ideal starting point for relaxing walks and hikes into the romantic Eger Valley or to the Carolinen Spring (an iron-rich mineral spring), as well as into neighboring Czech Republic and the incomparable natural beauty of the Fichtelgebirge Mountains. Many marked hiking trails lead to the most beautiful spots in the Sechsämterland and the Egerland. Those who prefer cycling will find a well-developed network of bike paths through the Fichtelgebirge Nature Park. The border crossing is just a 5-minute drive away and is perfect for day trips to the spa towns of Franzensbad, Marienbad, or Karlsbad. In the town center stands our castle complex, first mentioned in 1222 and considered one of the best-preserved castles in the Fichtelgebirge. You’ll also find cozy inns, a bakery with a post office, factory outlets, and a well-stocked Edeka grocery store in our small town, as well as a general practitioner and a dentist. Enjoy the peace and quiet, breathe in the fresh country air, and let your mind wander. We wish you a cozy stay. A 25% deposit is charged upon booking. The remaining balance is due on-site in cash. Check-in is available from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Check-out should be by 10:00 a.m. Other check-in and check-out times are possible by arrangement.
