Good place with great location near train station in Southampton

Once I found it, I loved the location, easy hike to the train station 🚉 and great restaurants and groceries very close by. The studio was generally clean and well appointed. The bathroom was very clean. The kitchen was adequate for prepping meals.

For me, the bed was too soft, but that's purely a personal preference. Lots of stairs that was a lot of effort on arrival. Trash accumulation just outside the door. Kitchen sink was mostly plugged, but that was being taken care of for the next guests.

AVOID THIS PROPERTY. IT IS A SCAM.

Nothing. The owner didn't accommodate us .

This is a scam. On the same day of check-in , I received a message through booking.com with a very poor English grammar asking for an additional cleaning fee ,otherwise, they wouldn't accommodate us .I obviously refused , and my accommodation was already paid. They kept asking for that fee, otherwise they wouldn't provide us accommodation,according to them ,it was an error in our final price and they would never take a booking for 1 night (our booking was confirmed for one night) and that was the reason of asking for an additional fee. We tried to phone them, and there was no response at all. We arrived in Southampton and had to book a different accommodation as at this stage, we didn't trust if the property existed. We never received a call from them asking where we were or instructions to check in(in theory, check-in was at 3 pm) At 5.15 pm, I received another message through booking.com (this time was a template that they probably use with everyone as I'm convinced they do this all the time) in that message they said that unfortunately they couldn't accommodate us due to lack of accommodation...sorry but, to me this is a scam . Obviously no refund from them. We have reported this to booking.com. AVOID THIS "PROPERTY " AT ALL COST!
