The location is absolutely stunning. The views are spectacular and we used every fireplace spot that was available during our stay. Godfrey was wonderful in assisting us with everything we needed and setting up the fire for us at night. There was sufficient warm bedding and we were very comfortable during our stay. The house is also styled lovely. Our host was also very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions we might have.
It is to be noted that only one bedroom has a shower in the bathroom (inside the bedroom), which needs to be navigated if there is a few families.
Some sharper knives would've been wonderful as well.

Feedback Regarding Our Stay
Unfortunately, there were several aspects of our stay that were disappointing and should be addressed:
Swimming pool location: The swimming pool was situated far from the main house, which was inconvenient.
Lack of privacy: The security guard was constantly roaming around the property, and the fact that he had to accompany us every time we opened the gate made us feel uncomfortable. This was intrusive and felt like an invasion of our privacy, preventing us from fully relaxing and enjoying our stay.
Missing amenities: There were no dishcloths available, and there was no "braaibak" to place the meat in after braaiing. These are basic items that guests would reasonably expect to be provided.
Misleading access information: The location and access conditions were not fully explained beforehand. The road leading to the house is not suitable for all vehicles, and this was not communicated clearly. This was misleading and caused unnecessary inconvenience.
Overall, the experience did not meet our expectations. I believe the listing should provide more accurate information about the location and road access, and the host should review the security arrangements to ensure guests have reasonable privacy. Basic kitchen and braai equipment should also be provided.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively to improve the experience for future guests.
