I did not recieve instructions for entry to the apartment and could not reach GK by phone though I tried numerous times. Bookings could not reach by phone either. 3 1/2 hours spent trying to get resolution destroyed my stay in Athens. I've requested a full refund.

Wry disappointed should be closed down and renovated

The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the location is excellent, particularly for access to the surrounding area. However, the excellent location comes with a significant downside: the property is directly affected by the noise from the bars below, which continues from approximately 19:00 until 01:00 every night even weekdays. In addition, there were alarms going off from shops offices near by. During one night they went off 4 times at approximately 01:00, 03:00, 05:00 and 07:00, making it extremely difficult to get a good night's sleep. The windows are ancient and Double Glazing is a necessity for a place like this

I am extremely disappointed with the condition of the property. The place is run down and clearly requires serious renovation and proper maintenance. There are numerous cleanliness, maintenance and safety issues: General condition: The property is in a very poor and neglected state and needs substantial renovation. Noise: The location is extremely noisy. Proper double glazing is urgently needed to deal with the bar noise outside. Kitchen: The hob and oven are dirty, with rust and accumulated dirt. The coffee machine is also dirty and clearly has not been properly cleaned. Walls: The walls throughout the property are filthy and urgently need repainting. Doors: The doors are dirty and require thorough scrubbing and repainting. Bedroom furniture: The furniture is worn out and in need of replacement or refurbishment. Night-time noise/alarms: The noise is so severe that alarms went off repeatedly during the night. Last night they went off at approximately 1:00 am, 3:00 am, 5:00 am and 7:00 am, making it extremely difficult to sleep. Safety hazard: The lamps are hanging down with exposed electrical wires. This is an unacceptable and potentially dangerous safety issue that needs immediate attention. Flooring: The floor outside the bathroom is badly damaged and appears to require replacement. Bathroom walls: The bathroom wall is flaking and requires repair and repainting. Shower: The rain shower is not working. Shower cabin: The shower cabin is surrounded by dirt and damp and is in an unacceptable condition. No smoke Alarm. Overall, this is not simply a matter of the property being somewhat dated. There are serious cleanliness, maintenance, noise and safety problems that should have been addressed before the property was offered to guests. It is expected that for future travelers, these issues to be taken seriously and appropriate action to be taken, particularly regarding the exposed electrical wiring, the hygiene issues and the condition of the bathroom.

Location was central.

Did read the last review and though it might be a bit exaggerated, after all we needed the place for a night to catch a flight. Needless to say we where so wrong in assuming so. (@Booking please do something about these properties…at almost 100euro per night this is most certainly a scam) From the door lock that looked like an improvisation gone wrong to the appalling condition of the room it was all bad. Everything in the room was broken, the furniture, the bed, the windows. To top it all off it smelled like somebody was smoking there for a while, exposed light bulbs in the bathroom, and black mold in the shower. The noise from the street was the same as outside at ground level due to the shotty windows that cannot fully close and thanks to the massive hole in the window where the improvised AC lines are routed. To top it off there is full set of bright white LED strip lights blasting all night on top of the windows, good luck trying to make the room dark. It was pure torture, we joked in the end that we could have gotten better rest sleeping on an airport bench. We had low expectations to begin with, but somehow this place managed to fall way below the minimum. This is by far the worst accommodation we’ve stumbled upon so far.
