Location, cleanliness, comfortable rooms, street parking, great communication from host.

It would have been nice to have a fully equipped kitchen, but the information clearly indicated that the kitchen was not fully equipped, so the owner was very transparent.

We had a wonderful short stay at The Blue House. From the start, Steve made us feel very welcome. The unit was clean, comfortable and quiet, a selection of snacks and breakfast items were provided, the location was great. Short walk to buses for the wharf, rail and town, supermarket, plus cafés, pubs, restaurants and King’s Theatre on Albert Road. Easy walk to the Pier and Southsea Castle (and wharf if you feel inclined). Thank you, Steve, for your kindness and attention to detail. We would love to return one day.

We had a lovely stay at The Blue House. Everything we needed was provided and the beds were very comfortable! We especially liked the welcome pack and the thoughtful touches, such as sachets of oat milk. Parking was very easy.

I can't think of anything that could have been done better.

Steve is an excellent host, a good communicator who will go out of his way to make your stay as pleasant as possible
