Nice and clean apartment in a great location

- Pretty close to Politekhnicheskiy Institut Metro station (10 minutes walk) - Only 4 stops away (about 15 minutes) from the Khreshchatyk Metro station (downtown) - A grocery store is on the corner of the next building - Within walking range from the Kyiv Zoo - It is possible to park a car in the neighborhood

- There's no way to pay through the terminal - The kitchen, contrary to the other rooms, looks a bit old

Very good apartments

Great place

The apartment was very clean and comfortable. It was few minutes of walking from metro station. We were very happy with this place. I recommend it.

4.2 / 10

Disappointing

Nothing

Please consider to carry enough cash with you. Though property description clearly lists almost all types of credit cards as accepted payment options, the host accepts cash only. She stated nobody has ever paid her with a credit card and she doesn't have a required hardware. I had not enough cash to pay for the whole stay, as I expected to pay with one of my cards at the property. At the same time ATMs in the banks near her house refused to give the money, both cards were declined with a "technical error". I departed with the host and we agreed upon me going later downtown and getting cash for her at an other bank. But later as I was getting a shower she knocked on the door and forced me to give her almost all of my local money. I told her that I already wasted enough of my time due to her faulty payment methods description and that she should not wonder if I write a bad review. She was OK with it and left. Then I received a call from booking.com. It turned out that she complained to them that I refused to give her the money and did not even mention that I already paid a first installment. She also told them that her card terminal was broken (as you can see she was either lying to me or to them). It took almost 7 minutes to refute her accusations. This incoming call from booking costed me 11+ euros. In the evening I went to another bank, withdraw the money and paid her as promised.
