About this house rental
Nestled in one of North Burnaby’s most desirable residential neighbourhoods, our home offers a great balance of city access and a quieter setting. We’re within walking distance of the shops, cafés, restaurants and amenities along Hastings Street, while the North Shore mountains, parks and trails are just across the bridge. Grouse, Seymour and Cypress Mountains are all easily accessible for skiing, hiking and year-round adventure.
The home spans four spacious levels, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing beautiful sunsets and views of the city skyline, mountains and glimpses of the ocean. The open-concept main floor offers plenty of room to cook, eat and spend time together and opens onto a large deck for outdoor meals, relaxing and enjoying the view.
Our home has five bedrooms, each with an ensuite. The primary bedroom has a king bed and the remaining four bedrooms have queen beds. One of the kids’ rooms also has a queen futon, and another has an additional twin sleeping space with a low ceiling that is best suited to a child. Our home can accommodate up to 13 guests.
For groups needing additional sleeping space, we also have a self-contained in-law suite on the bottom floor with a king bed that may be rented for an additional nightly fee, subject to availability.
Outside, enjoy our private yard, deck, swimming pool and hot tub. Inside, the games room has a pool table, dartboard and a selection of board games for all ages. There are plenty of spaces throughout the home to spread out, as well as large common areas where everyone can come together.
A note about our home: This is our family’s primary residence, not a purpose-built vacation rental. We live here year-round and raise our children here. While the home is cleaned and prepared for every stay, it is a comfortable, well-lived-in family home and naturally has some signs of everyday life. We want to be transparent about that so guests arrive knowing what to expect rather than expecting the pristine or standardized environment of a hotel.
Important information
Pool & hot tub: During the warmer months, use of the pool and hot tub is included unless otherwise specified in your booking. During cooler months and winter, opening, preparing and/or heating the pool and hot tub requires significant additional energy and maintenance, so access is available for an additional fee. Please contact us before booking if you'd like to use these amenities during the cooler season so we can confirm availability and pricing.
Security cameras: Our home is equipped with security cameras for general household and property safety. The cameras loop to a screen mounted inside the home and are not connected to cloud storage. They do not store recorded footage and will be turned off during your stay.
Separate suite: A long-term tenant lives in a completely self-contained suite on the north side of the home. She has her own private entrance and there is no shared access to the house. She is quiet and respectful, and we rarely cross paths.
Additional guests: Our standard rate includes up to six guests. There is an additional charge of $100 per person, per night after the first six guests. If your group requires the separate in-law suite, an additional nightly rental fee applies and availability must be confirmed in advance.
Peak periods & cancellations: During summer, holidays, major Vancouver events and other high-demand periods, stricter cancellation terms may apply. Please review the cancellation policy associated with your reservation carefully before booking. We recommend purchasing travel insurance, particularly for high-value or event-related stays.
Whether you’re visiting Vancouver for an event, family trip, celebration or simply to spend time together, our home gives your group the opportunity to stay under one roof while remaining close to downtown Vancouver, the North Shore and many of the region’s major attractions.
We look forward to welcoming you and hope you enjoy the space, the views and everything Vancouver has to offer!
