Hubby and I have traveled all over Europe, Canada and Mexico in the past 20 years and Aurora House is by far the best accommodations hands down ever for us. It is not only because of the stunning historical sea side town of Otranto, but the apartment and the family owners who make the experience so wonderful. From the moment we were in contact and met the lovely parents we knew we would be in good hands. The apartment is huge 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths with amazing bright natural light. The beautiful balcony overlooking the sea and the town is spectacular. The view was so great, that we opted to eat dinner there 2 of our 5 nights, with premade meals, charcuterie items and wine from the grocery store just down the street. The apartment is a 3-5 minute walk along a beautiful sea side promenade to the historic centre. Tons of swimming spots and beaches right within close walking distance. The sound of the waves crashing into the rocks below was so soothing to sleep at night. That was the only sound, despite being so close to town. We appreciated having 2 sets of keys for both of us to come and go, washer with drying line on the back balcony, the complimentary pass to park right out front was appreciated and stress free compared to other experiences in Puglia. The apartment is modern, spotless and beautifully decorated including local ceramics and nice chandeliers. The attention to detail in the home was impeccable, from the night light in the hall, to coffee pods, snacks, drinks and of course the recommendation from Dad to use binoculars to watch cruise ships and other boats. The lovely pastries on our departure was so kind and thoughtful. We absolutely loved our stay at Aurora House in Otranto and hope to come back next year. This is the best accommodations in the town. Amazing view over the old town, yet quiet and so close to everything.

Wish we spent more time there.
