Very Disappointing Experience – Booking Was Refused After We Arrived
Very Disappointing Experience – Booking Was Refused After We Arrived
We had a very disappointing and stressful experience with this hotel. We booked the room in advance through Booking.com and travelled hundreds of kilometres specifically because we had an important exam the next day.
However, after reaching the hotel, the owner refused to provide us with the room. He told us that the room was not available and claimed that our Booking.com reservation was not valid because he had not received payment. He said that he would accept the booking only if he received the payment.
This was extremely frustrating because we had relied on the confirmed booking while planning our journey. If the hotel was not willing to honour the Booking.com reservation, we should have been informed before travelling such a long distance.
We explained that we had travelled hundreds of kilometres and had come for an important examination, but we were still refused accommodation. Being told this only after arriving at the property left us in a very difficult situation, forcing us to search for alternative accommodation at the last minute.
The whole experience caused unnecessary stress, wasted our time and seriously disturbed our preparation and peace of mind before the exam.
Based on our experience, I would strongly advise anyone booking this property through an online platform to confirm directly with the hotel before travelling. A confirmed reservation should give a guest confidence that accommodation will be available on arrival. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here.
Extremely disappointing and unreliable experience.
The owner has responded below claiming they attempted to contact me multiple times regarding my arrival time. This is completely false. They never called, emailed, or reached out. It is disappointing that the management is resorting to fabricating a story rather than taking accountability for failing to honor a confirmed reservation.
