Very stressful and disappointing

None

I’m extremely disappointed with how this was handled. We tried contacting the property owner through Booking.com, but received no response. We then tried the contact number provided, but the person who answered told us that he did not own or manage any property. After going through so much hassle and uncertainty, we eventually managed to find another contact number through social media and finally got in touch with the property owner. Due to the complete lack of communication and the confusing information provided, I genuinely thought I was being scammed. As a result, I had no choice but to contact my bank to cancel the payment. Unfortunately, this has now caused further inconvenience. The bank has cancelled my card, and I have to personally walk into the branch to request a replacement card, which will also incur additional charges. The property owner later explained that she did not receive the booking confirmation from Booking.com due to the different time zone. However, this does not justify the lack of communication. If there was an issue with receiving the booking confirmation, we should have been informed promptly instead of being left without any response or reliable contact. This entire situation could have been avoided with proper and timely communication. Instead, we have had to go through unnecessary stress, hassle and additional costs because of the poor communication and handling of this booking.
