8 / 10Excellent·Jul 2026
This cozy little cabin in Grand Marais was clean, comfortable, and made for a great home base while exploring the area. We also appreciated that it allowed our two dogs, which made traveling much easier. We’d definitely stay here again. The only reasons we’re giving it 4 instead of 5 stars are that it’s about a 1.5-mile drive to the waterfront (rather than an easy walk), and the cabin uses well water that has a very orange color, so we’d recommend bringing your own drinking water.Overall, it was a comfortable, clean cabin in a quiet location and a great option if you’re traveling with dogs.

Nice house and location but could use some improvements. Water pressure in the shower was low and it was hard to find a water temp that was comfortable. The heat was also hard to control. It was either too hot in the living room or it cold everywhere else. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.
