The Sole Luna residence is a charming two-story country home that has been recently renovated, featuring a private parking space and a large garden to explore. The first floor features an open-concept kitchen and a bathroom with a shower; on the second floor, you’ll find a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom, and a large living room with a fireplace and a sofa bed. Your four-legged friends are welcome here!
The kitchen is a living space and is well-equipped, featuring a dining table, chairs, a wood-burning stove, dishes, pots, and kitchen utensils. It also features an oven, stovetop, refrigerator, drinking water, a small toaster oven, and a moka pot, making it ideal for cooking and sharing meals with friends. The guest bathroom near the kitchen has a toilet, sink, and shower; we provide towels and soap. Going up the stairs, on the second floor to the right, there is a large living room with a view of the islands in the Gulf of Naples, featuring rustic details and old-world charm, where you’ll find a sofa bed (we provide sheets and pillows), a fireplace, a pellet stove, a television, and a dining table. On the left, you’ll find the bedroom with a double bed (we provide sheets), a spacious closet, and a relaxing, bright view. The adjacent bathroom is equipped with a sink, toilet, bidet, washing machine, and walk-in shower; towels and soap are provided. For heating on the upper floor, there is a pellet stove, a wood-burning fireplace, and an electric space heater; on the lower floor, there is a wood-burning stove. Unfortunately, we do not have air conditioning for the warmer months, but upon check-in we will provide you with two fans; if needed, we can provide another one, but don’t worry—the area is well-ventilated and cool since it is surrounded by trees.
The house is located in the renowned Vesuvius National Park and boasts a spectacular view stretching from Capri to Procida.
It’s the ideal spot for hiking enthusiasts, thanks to the variety of trails on Mount Vesuvius—just a stone’s throw away—and for families seeking peace and quiet, thanks to the large garden outside the house where children can play safely and the proximity to a water park called “Valle dell’Orso.” It’s also perfect for couples looking to escape the chaos of the city; it transforms into a romantic, private, and cozy retreat thanks to the breathtaking views and sunsets.
The house is the ideal base for visiting Italy’s major and most important archaeological sites, just a 17-minute drive from the Herculaneum ruins and a 15-minute drive from the Pompeii ruins. A 4-minute drive or 20-minute walk away, you’ll find Villa delle Ginestre, where Giacomo Leopardi died. For sun lovers, on the other hand, who are looking for a purely relaxing stay, our garden features two lounge chairs and a peaceful atmosphere. On particularly hot days, just an 11-minute drive away, you’ll find the Torre del Greco coastal road with public beaches or well-equipped beach clubs that we’d be happy to recommend. The food is excellent everywhere in Campania, but we’d be happy to help you choose restaurants, pizzerias, or bars in the surrounding area or in Naples, which is a 20-minute drive away.
It’s advisable to come by car, as the property is set apart from the typical hustle and bustle of the city, so you’ll need a vehicle to reach the house; if needed, we can recommend local car rental services. Check-in is in person; I (Giulia) will hand you the keys directly. For this reason, please let us know your arrival time in advance. The day before your check-in, you’ll receive all the directions you need to reach us; this information is essential for a pleasant stay.
