The host are horrible and ruined our trip.

Nothing. We went for a nice family get away. And still fighting for a refund. 2.5 months later

We rented a 3 bedroom Villa. Upon arrival, we were a little early, the cleaner had a cat with them inside the villa. My husband is highly allergic. It has snowed a large amount the day before and none of the villa walks ways were shoveled. Once we went into the Villa on our arrival time, we noticed a horrible odor. We opened the windows to air out. We went to town to get some groceries and by this time, it was getting dark. The smell was still horrible. We tried contacting the hosts, with nothing in return. We tried to put our kids to bed, but the smell was so strong and so horrible, my daughter ended up getting a headache and was sick to her stomach from the smell. We tried again and again to contact host. Nothing! Finally they called up at 1 am, and argued with my husband that we had 4 cars at the Villa (not the reason why we called) we did not have 4 cars but 2. And our neighbours villa had 4. After this small argument over cars, my husband chatted about the horrible smell. They agreed to switch to a different Villa (not a water site like we paid for) at 2 am in the morning. We decided to move our things and family. Again, the Villa was not shoveled and we were knee deep in snow at 2am ! 2 unhappy kids! Upon arrive in new ‘villa’, we learnt the main heating source did not work. Outside temps were -20. They did have baseboard heating, but that hardly did anything. The villa was not fulled complete from their renovations and had holes in dry wall, the back of bathroom door looked like it had touched the baseboard. Just not fully functional. We ended up having to go by portable heaters to stay warm. We again tried to contact the host. And nothing back. I have been fighting with bookings and the villa for my money back. The hosts never answer their phone or return messages. They refuse to deal with bookings, meaning I cannot get a refund until the Hosts approve it, which they won’t because they are horrible at customer service. Do NoT BOOK!

Pictures can be deceiving

-The perfect view outside -The cottage was well heated -The bedding was comfortable -Very spacious for group bookings

-I just wish there was more added to the decor -The tv is small, especially for people that come in groups -The bathroom curtain was gross, no toilet paper holder. -The bathroom window was not covered properly and it was the most uncomfortable shower i taken, someone could peep on me. -The space is great but filling it with tiny furniture, and no closets. -The couch and table chairs are so uncomfortable -Even though theres a rule to keep noise down, that doesn’t matter.. you can hear people all the time
